Actually not so strange? — teal frame, faces peering through two cropped windows

Each frame presents two images, deliberately cropped using mount paper to restrict what is visible. This controlled framing offers only partial information, prompting the viewer to engage with what is withheld as much as what is shown.

Across the works, Luke D King compresses and distorts the human figure—faces, eyes, and hands pressed into constrained spaces. Rendered in saturated colour, these forms move away from scale and spectacle, instead holding a tension between intimacy and unease, inviting a closer, more attentive gaze.
